Privacy Policy

Bay Health handles personal and health information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and with the confidentiality your medical care deserves.

What we collect

To provide care we collect information such as your name and contact details, Medicare and health-fund details, medical history, test and pathology results, and records of consultations and treatment. We collect it directly from you wherever possible, or from treating practitioners and laboratories involved in your care.

How we use it

Your information is used to provide and coordinate your medical care: assessment, testing, diagnosis, treatment, referrals, recalls and reminders, and practice administration including billing. We do not use your health information for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

Information is shared only with those involved in your care, such as pathology laboratories, specialists you are referred to, and My Health Record where you participate, or where the law requires or permits disclosure. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and security

Records are held in secure clinical systems with access limited to the practice team, protected by technical and organisational safeguards. We retain health records for the periods required by NSW law.

Website

Our website uses analytics to understand how pages are used. These tools collect aggregated usage data, not your health information. Bookings made through HealthEngine are governed by HealthEngine's own privacy policy.

You may request access to, or correction of, your health record at any time. Contact the practice at 2 Cooper Street, Double Bay NSW, on 02 9327 7200, or at info@bayhealth.com.au.
